Just in time for winter, Siren Rock Brewing Company has released its extremely popular German Chocolate Cake Porter, The Feisty Fogey.

With empowering toasted coconut aroma and rich silky flavors of chocolate, dark malt and vanilla, The Feisty Fogey was inspired by Mrs. George Clay, who originated the German Chocolate Cake recipe in Dallas in 1957.
“We were doing some brainstorming for a dark winter beer and came to find out the German Chocolate Cake recipe actually originated in Dallas in the 50’s,” said Hayes Cooper, Head Brewer and VP of Production Operations at Siren Rock Brewing Company. “My grandmother used to make a fantastic German Chocolate Cake around the holidays, so it seemed like the perfect inspiration for this beer.”
Brewed with various dark malts, coconut, vanilla beans, and pure chocolate, The Feisty Fogey is a smooth and silky porter with a beautiful tan head and just a touch of praline at the finish.
